Everyone can spot cosmetic surgery these days. The telltale signs of a facelift or boob job are getting too well known. And in the same way, the tricks of house doctors have been so well publicised that they can backfire. Tracy Kellett, a search agent, has grown familiar with the symptoms. "You can spot a house-doctored place a mile off and most clients think they look sterile and soulless," says Kellett, who runs home finders BDI Property Search.
