It had to happen. Television property experts such as Ann Maurice or Colin and Justin have sparked a buyers' backlash against "house doctored" homes, it was claimed yesterday. The sight of pure white walls or pretentious art books spread across a coffee table is treated with suspicion by househunters, now wise to tricks of the trade featured on property programmes.
